My Story
Humans are intriguing.
I read relationship books since I was in my teens. Completed psychology degrees, and eventually graduated with a professional doctoral degree in clinical psychology. You may have heard the joke that psychologists are trying to fix themselves. I was definitely trying to figure out what was wrong, how to make things right, and how to keep them that way.
Navigating Humans wasn’t born because all my relationships were perfect. Many were not. And I added to the imperfections in my relationships. Listening to people’s stories, both in professional and personal settings, showed me I wasn’t alone in fumbling through connection. We can feel sad and anxious when going through interpersonal challenges.
I wanted answers and began asking:
What actually helps imperfect humans thrive in imperfect relationships?
What dynamics make some connections life-giving, while others drain us?
How can we make better decisions in real time, even when things are messy?
In 2024, I covered my desk and walls with Post-it notes, mapping out what lies beneath the surface of human interactions in challenging and uplifting relationships. Those notes became the foundation of the Social Health GPS®, a practical framework to navigate relationships with more clarity, confidence, and care.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen a long-time connection, approach new relationships with confidence, or simply understand yourself better, the Social Health GPS can help you take your next step.
